We are Rana, engineer in Lebanon, and Mike, a volunteer with the U.S. Peace Corps in Morocco. This blog is about language, culture, and all that is fun in between.
The idea for this blog came from a search for an English to Lebanese Arabic language book for Mike when he was in Lebanon. Since we couldn’t find one, we came up with the idea to make our own language guide. Thus, we created this blog. It is our intention to provide some insight into the Lebanese dialect of Arabic with translation into English while simultaneously providing cultural context. Whether you are traveling to Lebanon, speaking with a friend or family member, want to learn more about Lebanese and American culture, or just love languages, this is the blog for you.
